For his inaugural exhibition at Christopher Grimes Gallery, British born, San Francisco-based artist, Richard T. Walker will present a video work in the South Gallery entitled successive inconceivable events. Walker's work explores the complex relationships between people and the natural environment through language, music and text. By incorporating a contemporary meditation on the ideal of the Romantic individual within the Romantic landscape asking contemplative questions, Walker highlights the inconsistencies within the current human condition and the environment in which we inhabit.
Richard T. Walker received his MFA from Goldsmiths College in 2005. He has exhibited at Iceberger Gallery, San Francisco; i'll be lost when I find you, Galeria Del Angels, Barcelona, Spain; All Man Made, the Temporare Kunsthalle, Berlin, Germany; A corps & a texts, La Galerie Contemporary Art Centre, Noisy-le-Sec, Paris, France; Romantic Damage, De Appel, Amsterdam, Holland; and Focus the star please!, the Kunsthalle Luzern, Switzerland.
