Julião Sarmento will be the subject of a solo exhibition at Fundação Carmona e Costa in Lisbon, Portugal. Julião Sarmento: Timeline is a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the artist's drawing practice. Comprising fifty-one works on paper ranging from 1966 to 2017, the exhibition explores the lexicon of visual signs the artist recursively uses in hybrid graphic procedures. The selected works propose an associative approach to the viewer, through the display of works featuring repeated elements, presented in reverse chronology.
Julião Sarmento: Timeline will be on view from April 7 - May 19, 2018.
