The work of Allan Sekula will be discussed in the upcoming symposium Developing Room: Reinventing Documentary Photography in the 1970s at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. Bringing together international art historians and curators, the symposium, which will take place on March 23 and 24, will address the resurgence of documentary photography during the tumultuous decade of the 1970s.

 

The symposium is organized by Sarah Miller, independent scholar, and Drew Sawyer, Curator of Photography at the Columbus Museum of Art, in collaboration with the Zimmerli Art Museum and Developing Room. For a detailed schedule of events and to register for the symposium, click here.
